What is love?
Love is kind and trust. Love is compromise. Love is a unconditional. There are many types of love. Love for your children is never ending and doing anything in order to keep them safe. Love for your partner is trusting them do do what they want and trusting them to think of you before doing anything that would harm you or your relationship. Love for your friends is unconditional supporting. Love for your family is unconditional. They raised you. They made you who are today. Love for your family is taking advantage of the fact they will always be there, because no matter what they love and support you. Love is realizing you're taking them for granted and doing something to thank them. Love is emotional. Love is hard. Love is work. Every great relationship, no matter if it a child, a friend, a partner, or family, requires work from both parties. Love is not easy and if you've found it, tell your child, tell your partner, tell your friends, tell your mom, your dad, your sister and/or brother that you love them. Love is not blind. Love is not cruel. Love is not violent. Love is not control.
I thought I had found love. But my partner didn't trust me. He wanted control over what I did and who I hung out with. I realized I wasn't the untrustworthy one, he was.
Drugs make a person not capable of loving another person. Drugs take over the mind of that person and the drug controls the user. The user has no control which is why they feel the need to control their partner. To lie to them. To watch their every move, now they think their partner is out to get them. If someone is a recovering addict, make sure you talk to your partner if you're feeling the need to use again. Go to a meeting. Be honest. Don't do drugs. It will ruin the relationship because it breaks the trust, it starts the control. It changes your mind and you're unable to continue caring for the people you care about. Drugs break that unconditional love.
Love is special and should not be taken for granted. When it is, it should be realized and fixed. To my children, to my family, to my friends, I love all of you. You are all special in your own way and I wouldn't change any one of you for anything.
